Biography

Keithelakpam London (b. 1977) is a contemporary Manipuri short story writer and novelist from Pourabi, Imphal East, Manipur. A graduate by education, he has been actively involved in the state’s literary movement and currently serves as the General Secretary of Aseilup Manipur as well as the Treasurer of the Fiction and Poetry Club, Manipur.

London made his literary debut with the short story collection Bomb Duna Pokhaikhrabasu in 2015. He continued to establish his voice through the short story collection Amanba Hee published in 2024 and further expanded his creative scope with his first novel Nangna Chatkhrabagi Tungda in 2025. His works reflect a deep engagement with the contemporary human condition and the social realities of Manipuri life.

In recognition of his contributions to Manipuri literature, London has received numerous honours, including the Yumnam Lala and Bidhumukhi Ningsing Mana (2019) from the Manipur Sahitya Parishad, Imphal, the Churamohon & Madumati Khorirol Mana (2024) from IMAKHOL, Imphal, the Akoijam Bijoi Sahitya Mana (2024) from Sahitya Samiti, Thoubal, the Thokchom Amuba Khorirol Mana (2024) from Khorirol Sandoklup, Wangjing, and the Nongthombam Chandrakala Ningsing Sahitya Mana (2025) from Writers Club, Nambol.

He is married to Keithelakpam Ongbi Apana, and together they have two sons.
